BMR458 series
600-650W Quarter-Brick Isolated Digital DC/DC Converter
BMR458 is our 3rd generation of digital isolated DC/DC converter in a quarter brick format. This product is available for the telecom market with a typical input range from 36-75V but also available as a variant suitable for data center applications with an input range of 40-60V.
These converters can deliver up to 650W and have a typical high efficiency up to 96.6% at half load 12Vout. Isolation voltage is 2250V.
The BMR458 series operates in an ambient operating temperature range from -40°C up to +125°C and has a mean time between failure (MTBF) with over 8.2 million hours.
Standard features for this model are the digital interface using PMBus®, and paralleling through droop load sharing or active current sharing.
Alternative pinouts for the digital header are available in either 10-pin or 7-pin format.
An optional feature is the ability to meet the industry standard 5 pin layout for intermediate bus architectures by removing the digital header.
The BMR458 is also available with a baseplate option.
The BMR458 is supported by our own Flex Power Designer tool.
Evaluation of the BMR458 can be performed using the ROA1283835 Eval Board.
